I’ve just become Harry Nesbitt’s newest fan. His crisp and wholesome digital illustrations demonstrate a high level of drawing skill, as well as an accurate ability to create third dimensional shape with imaginative characters.
For someone new to the scene, this Liverpool-based artist bodes well for the future.
And a very pleasant short video documenting the daily life of one of his characters, showing really cool use of lighting and minimal colours:

This is great. Some aspects of his style really remind me of Mcbess. Are you familiar with his work?

Oh well, it’s still pretty.
I think Harry’s work should be respected for what it is, the skill and the style it’s done in.
If you recognize elements in it that remind you of other artists, then that’s nothing new, as the illustration world is driven by people influencing and feeding off each other. It’s how the industry works, and it’s great to see a young illustrator taking a style in his own direction.

This seems way to similar to mcBess to not to be a rip. Great execution, but unoriginal.

These are superb and full of rich imagination. I have never come across the artist mentioned above, but have just visited his site and have to say that Harry’s work stands clearly on its own as the result of a singular imagination. I also have to add that I think it sad that we have to “label” people’s work as “like this” or that…..if we tried, we could do that for every artist working – we all share sensibilities and dreams to some extent or another. Its cool to find common ground. Nice one Harry.
Really nice work. I get that feeling that I’ve seen it before or that I’m reaching for a similar thing.
