Originally Peruvian, but based in Oregon, illustrator and designer Santiago Uceda has been producing a lot of posters with a great, hand drawn and painted style. This compliments his clever use of hand cut objects pasted into the work, with some nice textures thrown in to liven up the posters some more.
Santiago revealed some of his work process for us:
As far as tools go, I always start with traditional tools: sumi ink + brush, monoprints (that’s how I get my textures), and sometimes acrylic and charcoal. Then I scan all the pieces and layer them in Photoshop. I add color, clean up and maybe add more texture in Photoshop.
