By now, you will have probably banished your pumpkins to the compost and put away your masks and wigs once again. Yes, Halloween may have already come and gone this year but we can still enjoy Kristian Hammerstad‘s ghoulish posters. Peeling faces and skeletal hands may often make an appearance but his work is anything but morbid.

His style of drawing has a sentimental vintage comic book feel to it that I love, but his work also stays modern. Striking colours and thick contrasts make for some eye-catching material, which also uses sweetly dark humour to draw you in.

I have a particular soft spot for the beauty queen, complete with tiara, exposed muscle tissue, and skull.
