Twin Peaks Inspired Illustrations of Holly Wales

After watching the David Lynch series, ‘Twin Peaks’, illustrator Holly Wales was inspired to create this set of gorgeous illustrations. I can’t stop looking at the perfectly balanced, refined shapes and alkaline colours. Great consideration has been taken over the contrasting textures and matte areas in what Holly describes as a series produced in order to explore ideas about how narrative affects the way images are presented separately, rather than as whole, complete scenes.

Charming Soft Shading by Sac Magique

Looking a Sac Magique‘s work, I can’t help but smile and wish I could visit his characters and hang out with them for a while. There’s something very easy and carefree about the world they live in, with it’s pastel palettes, rolling shapes, and soft shading you can almost feel.
