Debbie Powell creates bold patterns full of life and chunky shapes. She uses a mix of printing and drawing techniques with linocut shapes giving great, graphic forms in her work. Her designs and their decorative nature make them perfect for packaging and can be seen on wrapping paper and greeting cards, too. She tells us more about how she puts together her vibrant imagery.

I use the techniques of linocut printing, watercolours along with a strong discipline of pen and pencil drawing to create my imagery. I always try to provide something different and surprising with my work!

I have worked for many clients to date, including Rizzoli, Random House, Marks and Spencer, Galison stationery, Carluccio’s, Penguin, Tesco, Lagom Design, Jamie Oliver, Walker Books, Reader’s Digest, and The Independent newspaper.
