Manuja Waldia’s Florally Adorned Painted Characters

The wonderfully painted, delicate characters in Manuja Waldia’s work allow us a glimpse into their mysterious and decorative imagined rituals.

Their florally adorned headpieces and patterned dresses help them blend into the outdoor scenes in which she paints them. As do the animal-headed chamber maids and impish party goers.
