I’m really liking this beautifully crafted animation from illustrator Danae Diaz and animated by Benjamin Karré entitled ‘Caffeine’. The film’s thin line work and isometric perspectives make it very delicate and a pleasure to watch, with a cool and very appropriate soundtrack.

See the film, which has already won several prizes, and been selected at several film shows around the world, below.

We like the contrast of the soft pastels against the sharp, geometric edges of his 3D digital designs. We find out more about how he constructs his work and how this project came about.

The incredibly busy imagination of South Korea-born, Yeji Yun spills out and into every one of her illustrations.

Now based in London after completing her masters at Kingston a couple of years ago, she works in a range of areas, in a range of materials. It’s probably this diverse use of multiple mediums in her bustling drawings that make them work so well.

Probably being as comfortable in a Dali painting as they would on any wall, these spectacularly surreal frames are the work of French multidisciplinary creative studio, Bonsoir Paris. They’re even more impressive upon closer inspection, realising their molten, liquid forms are actually hand carved out of wood.
