Claire Softley has an interesting point of view on collage. By physically cutting up hand-made marks, editing them digitally, and reworking them with further drawing, she makes these unique abstract compositions.
To further play with the idea of moving images from one form into another, Claire also assembles the cut-outs into miniature sets for photographing. The final pieces blur the line between 2D and 3D in a playful take on dimension and perspective.
