If you’re someone who enjoys a good pedal as well as checking out local illustration and design talent, Spoke might have been made just for you. This new one-off, free event brings together cycling enthusiasts and lovers of art, and kicks off in London at the end of this month.
Spoke is a new illustration event that will be taking place in Peckham, south London on the 28th of June. 25 artists will be showing work around the theme of all things bicycles and cycling.
The whole thing is free so just drop by and enjoy the art and your two-wheeled friends. The people from Spoke themselves tells us more.
From hardy road bikers to fair weather enthusiasts, cyclists, art enthusiasts and the local people of London are encouraged to come and experience this one-off event.
Spoke promotes and celebrates cycling through artists’ impressions and creative expression. Discover illustrators and designers who have adored the tranquillity, freedom and fun of cycling.
Peckham was the ideal place to host Spoke because over the past couple of years this area has not only become a hot-bed for art and illustration but also we’ve seen so many more people take to the roads on the bikes for commuting and sheer enjoyment. It just seemed the perfect time to combine two things that people in London are incredibly passionate about in one, fun and free event.
